An area of showers and storms in West Texas were drifting slowly toward the Big Country as of late Wednesday evening.  This same scenario will probably play out over the next couple days. Our main weather influence in the Big Country is high pressure which will tend to keep the area dry and hot.  However, on the western edge of the high, afternoon heat combines with ample moisture to create the showers and storms which will tend to move to the northeast, possibly impacting our western or northwestern viewing area.  It's something we'll be keeping an eye on the rest of the week but most areas won't see any rain, just heat.  Highs around 96-98 through the weekend with the hotter temperatures in the northern Big Country counties.
