The western Big Country will have chilly mornings but warm afternoons this weekend.  Around 30 Saturday morning, middle 60's Saturday afternoon.  Around 38 Sunday morning, middle 60's Sunday afternoon.  However, please note that the projected highs for Sunday could be "out the window" IF a cold front moves south faster than forecast on Sunday afternoon.  By Sunday night, another dose of Arctic air will have arrived.  Temperatures in the middle 20's Monday morning and may struggle to get to 32 Monday afternoon.  Monday night low 20's and Tuesday low 30's.  Plus, an upper level system will move over the region Monday night and Tuesday, bringing a chance for wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain and light snow.  Amounts, as of now, appear to be light, however it doesn't take much to cause icy roads Monday night and Tuesday.  Stay tuned for Taylor Grenda's updates this weekend on next week's pending wintry weather.
