KTAB Regional Forecast Heartland: AM June 30th, 2014
We’re finishing up June rather hot with highs well into the 90’s. Factor in the muggy feel and the heat index is expected to reach one hundred degrees. Winds will also be up there, gusting up to 35 miles per hour. Rain chances will stay north of Abilene, basically in the Pan Handle, which is where we have a slight chance for severe storms. In the Big Country we’re looking a warm but dry forecast. Tuesday will be warm as well with highs in the mid 90’s and gusting winds. Our next chance for rain begins Wednesday morning and extends through Thursday afternoon. Rain chances will be rather scattered and will favor areas northwest of Abilene. The holiday weekend looks dry. Have a great day!
