Good morning, and happy birthday, America! Your July 4th forecast will look and feel a lot like July 3rd... That means a warm afternoon with heat index values near 100 degrees ahead of evening/ overnight storm chances.
The first rain chance today comes with the heat of the afternoon, between 3 and 6 PM. That's an isolated, 20% chance for a few quick heavy downpours and some lightning.
The second (and better) rain chance comes overnight, as a line of thunderstorms moves in from the Texas Panhandle. That's a 30-40% chance from 11 PM - 6 AM. There could be some gusty winds in any overnight storms.
Otherwise, temperatures today and the rest of this week will hold steady this week in the mid to upper 90s!
After a chilly start to the day, it'll be a warm and sunny afternoon.
Your holiday weekend looks to be in good shape with no rain in sight.…
Becoming chilly for the start of Black Friday sales, don't forget…
