KRBC PM Forecast: Friday, August 25, 2017

With Hurricane Harvey crashing onshore near Port Aransas and Port O'Connor on Friday night at 10 pm, now comes the rain, not inches but feet, over southeast Texas.

Our forecast models show that a few of those outer rain bands will pivot into the Big Country, some Saturday but especially on Sunday.  Rain amounts of a half inch to one and a half inch will be possible in the Big Country but better chances exist south and east of Abilene, example, the Brownwood area.

Highs this weekend low to middle 80's.

You'll also notice the wind increase from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph in response to Harvey.
