Potential Severe Weather Tonight for the Big Country

As we head into the evening hours tonight, keep your eyes on the sky!

WHAT & WHERE:

An organized line of storms will begin developing in the next few hours. The National Weather Service has issued a slight severe weather risk east of a Knox City to Abilene to San Angelo line. The largest threats associated with this line of storms will be strong straight line winds and hail. As well, we can't rule out the possibility of an isolated tornado embedded in the line.

WHEN:

The timing of these storms will be as early as 4:00 p.m. and last until around midnight tonight. The leading edge of the line of storms will push out of the Big Country at or around midnight. Afterwards, we're expecting light rain and showers well into the late night and early morning hours.

We'll keep you up to date on social media throughout the entire event!
