Joni McKinnon is a third-generation Abilene native. She graduated from Wylie High School and studied theater at McMurry University. Joni’s careers have spanned from retail and advertising sales, to interior decorating and design, a makeup artist for Lancome cosmetics, and currently the manager of Wild Ones Boutique. Her loves of community and opportunities to uplift women have been the driving forces behind her various occupations. Joni can often be found behind the scenes doing makeup artistry, styling and organizing women, and orchestrating style shows. A self-proclaimed “DIY-er”, Joni isn’t afraid to tackle “whatever needs doing!” This has even found her roofing atop her house, operating chainsaws, and baking for her family.
When she’s not juggling one of her career hats, her passion is with her family. Her three children, from college to elementary, keep her on her toes. Joni spends her free time attending the sporting and extracurricular events of her children, and those of her nieces and nephews. She loves reading, live music, the Dallas Cowboys and fabulous high heels. KTAB-4u was Joni’s first role as a television host.
