Max Preston was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, but he grew up in Amarillo, Texas and attended Tascosa High School. He became an Abilene guy once he attended college at Abilene Christian University and majored in journalism. He graduated in May of 2019 and is now in his first professional tv job with BigCountryHomepage.com Sports.
Preston is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars (and Pittsburgh Penguins because of his dad), most of the Big 12 and loves to watch PGA and UFC. He found his passion in tv when he was the sports director of the Optimist for ACU. He was the co-host of the Adam Dorrel show with Grant Boone. The two also hosted the first ever Joe Golding and Julie Goodenough shows last year. He was able to travel to Jacksonville and Waco to cover the men and women’s basketball team playing in the NCAA division one tournament.
- Preston comes out of college with award winning experience. He received first place in sportscast anchoring for the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association his sophomore and senior year. He also won first for sports show host with the Adam Dorrel show his senior year.
- Preston played Football and Baseball at Tascosa all four years.
- Preston has traveled to four different countries in his life. Brazil, Japan, Italy and Mexico.
