Miriam Chamberlain was born in Chicago, IL. After high school, she knew she wanted to pursue higher education in mass communication.
She began her journey at Roosevelt University where she studied and played college softball. After two years, she hung up her jersey for the last time, as she decided that she wanted to focus on making mass communications her career for the future. She packed up her belongings and moved ten hours away from her family and friends where she continued her undergrad at Kansas State University.
At K-State, she was able to expand her journalist coverage where she worked for KKSU-TV as an anchor and reporter for Channel 8 News. In the Summer of 2019, she was given the opportunity to work at one of her hometown news stations as an intern for CBS 2 Chicago. There she was able to develop a deeper connection in broadcast journalism on many different levels. During her last semester, she studied abroad in London, United Kingdom. Although the pandemic brought on difficult challenges along the way, she still enjoyed the time she was able to spend while abroad. In May of 2020, she received her BA in Mass Communications with a minor in Kinesiology. She has now recently joined the KTAB and KRBC news team as a multimedia journalist in January of 2021.
When Miriam is not in the newsroom you can find her traveling around the world, spending time with friends and family, working out, or at home watching movies with her dog, Denver.
