Pete came to Abilene through the Air Force and was stationed at the Dyess Fire Dept. He made Abilene his home and after his tour was completed, he joined the Abilene Fire Dept. Before retiring from the department, he enrolled at Mississippi State University to receive his Meteorology training and get a better understanding of West Texas weather. His burning question was, “Why are we always called out to so many water rescues”?
He has been involved in TV and Radio weather in Abilene for the past twenty plus years. When not predicting weather, he can be found recording audio books for Audible or teaching at the AISD’s Fire Academy.
Pete likes to watch TV, especially football, and listen to music. His favorite foods are Tex-Mex, Italian and Bar-B-Que.
