While Tyler isn’t a native of the Big Country, he and his wife have lived here for seven years, becoming a second home to the both of them.
Originally from Central Texas, Tyler graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2021 with a Bachelors in Journalism, but spent his first four years studying Exotic Wildlife Management.
In college, Tyler became the first ACU student to call a football game on ESPN while attending the school. He was able to call play-by-play and color-commentate ACU football, basketball and volleyball.
Tyler met his wife at ACU and were married in the Summer of 2021.
A “good old Texas boy” at heart, Tyler wants to make everyone feel like family. Whether that’s on-air or in-person. He said his family and faith are the most important part of his life, as he prides himself on values he learned from his father, step father and granddad. He hopes his faith in Christ resonates through his interactions with viewers.
When he is not at the office or in the field, Tyler’s passions can be found on a Diamond. He is an avid Texas Rangers fan, and shows his Texas pride and support for the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and Texas Longhorns.
Other than sports, Tyler and his wife enjoy grilling out together, watching shows like the Masked Singer and the 80’s TV series 21 Jumpstreet.
The Henderson family is expecting their first child, a little girl, in August 2022.
