2 out-of-town suspects accused of using stolen info to ship cell phones to Abilene home

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Two out-of-town suspects accused of using stolen information to have cell phones shipped to an Abilene home have been arrested.

Kayla Whitehead, 23, and Jacobie Dixon, 24, are both being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling at least $2,500 for Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information.

Whitehead and Dixon were arrested Monday after they traveled, "from the Metroplex to pick up cell phones they ordered with stolen information and having them delivered to a rural address in North Abilene on Elm Creek Rd," according to a social media post.

The post states the homeowner, whose information was used to fraudulently make the purchases, was alert and called police.
