ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Three undocumented immigrants were arrested during a search for a child sex crime suspect in Abilene Friday morning.

Juan Flores. 44, Enrique Rosales, 26, and Oscar Flores, 30, were all taken into custody on immigration charges after a search warrant was executed at a north Abilene home.

Officers, with assistance from the FBI and Homeland Security, were “looking for evidence pertaining to a sexual assault of a minor that was committed by an [undocumented] immigrant from Mexico,” according to a press release from the Abilene Police Department.

The press release states evidence was collected and the suspect responsible for the sexual assault of a child has been identified. A warrant is currently being drafted for charges related to the crime.

“Other charges are being considered for other persons who had knowledge of the sexual assault and were present in the home,” according to the press release.

All three undocumented immigrants remain jailed without bond due to the immigration charges.
