ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man accused of sexually assaulting a child for years after sexually assaulting her mother when she was a teen has been arrested.

Moivee Karnley, 59, was arrested for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child Tuesday in connection to the crime, which police began investigating in June.

Court documents state the child’s mother contacted CPS after her daughter, who was under the age of 14, made an outcry against Karnley.

During a forensic interview, the child claimed Karnley started “doing thing to her” at the age of 9, according to the documents. She described multiple incidents of sexual assault.

The documents also stated the child revealed “he showed her pornographic movies and told her he would do those things to her when she got older.”

The girl’s mother also made an outcry that Karnley had sexually assaulted her when she was 16, and the documents state “she was ashamed and did not tell anyone until her own daughter’s sexual abuse by Mr. Karnley.”

Another, younger girl was also interviewed, but when asked about any possible sexual assaults, she replied “I don’t know.”

Karnley is being held in jail on a $75,000 bond.
