Abilene man accused of stealing lawn equipment, selling it door-to-door

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene police are asking people who may have purchased lawn equipment from a suspected thief to come forward. 

Cesilio Martinez, 30, was arrested Tuesday and charged with Theft (Enhanced) in connection to the stolen lawn equipment.

Martinez is accused of taking the equipment then selling to unsuspecting homeowners around town by going door-to-door, according to a press release from the Abilene Police Department. 

Police say, “If you believe you may have purchased equipment from Martinez, we urge you to contact the Abilene Police Department so that we may clear up any open cases and return the items back to their owners. Contact Detective Humber at  (325)676-6613.”

Martinez is being held in the Taylor County Jail on a $32,000 bond.
