Abilene man arrested for receiving 7 lbs of marijuana through mail

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man was arrested for allegedly receiving marijuana through the mail.

Kevin Myers, 32, was taken into custody Tuesday for Possession of Marijuana after police executed a search warrant on two packages and found 7 pounds of marijuana.

Court documents state that while following up on a tip that someone was “possibly receiving marijuana through the mail”, an Abilene police K9 was called to a local shipping company and indicated two boxes addressed to Myers may contain narcotics.

After police discovered the marijuana, Myers was transported to the Taylor County Jail where he remains held on a $10,000 bond.
