Abilene Police arrest man accused of threatening 7-Eleven customer with sword

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A Tuscola man was arrested Saturday after police say he threatened a man with a sword at a convenience store.

According to an Abilene Police arrest report, 54-year-old Ricky Womack was arrested just after noon on Saturday.

The incident occurred at 7-Eleven on Buffalo Gap Road and FM 707, where Womack was reportedly yelling at another customer in the store.

When the victim told him to calm down and leave, Womack approached him in an aggressive manner, then pulled out a sword, according to the report.

Womack was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
