ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A suspect is now in custody in connection to the first of two shootings that occurred in Abilene Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting happened at the intersection of Alameda Road and Pueblo Drive just after 1:00 p.m.



Officers at the scene told KTAB and KRBC a male victim was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound. His current condition is not known.
The suspect, who has not been publicly identified, fled the scene. Police instigated a manhunt, and he was taken into custody around 3:30 p.m.
A witness who lives at the home where the shooting occurred said the victim was someone who had been staying with her, and he got into an argument with the suspect over money, leading to the shooting.
There was a second shooting reported in Abilene less than an hour after this one, but police say the scenes are not related.
