ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Two suspects were arrested for a shooting in Abilene Friday afternoon.

Duane Napier, 53, and Angelica Harden, 33, have been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Theft of a Firearm. Harden is also charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence. 

Arrest reports state the shooting happened on the 1100 block of Palm Street around 3:15 p.m. 

The suspects were involved in a disturbance with at least one of the victims prior to the shooting, and during the disturbance, Harden opened fire, according to the documents.

Officers pulled the suspects over for a traffic stop soon after the shooting and found the handgun, which was reported stolen, hidden underneath the vehicle. 

Both Napier and Harden also had multiple felony convictions. They remain held in jail on bond.
