Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas to Sponsor Regional Hiring Event for Veterans on November 8th, 2018
Abilene, Texas—–Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas, and the Texas Veterans Commission have joined together again to provide the 7th Annual Hiring Red & White You, Veterans Job Fair. This hiring event is designed to connect Texas veterans, service members and their spouses with regional employers. Veteran’s training, experience, leadership and discipline are just a few of the benefits regional employers can capitalize on, during this recruiting effort. There is no cost for job seekers or employers to participate in this hiring event.
The job fair will be held on Thursday, November 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Taylor County Expo Center, (Round Bldg.) 170 Hwy. 36, Abilene, Texas. Currently, over 70 employers have pre-registered. Hiring opportunities for veterans and their spouses: include wind technicians, law enforcement, machine operators, customer service, mechanics, production manufacturing technicians, welders, petroleum equipment service operators, heavy equipment operators, various healthcare occupations, banking and management positions. Over 15 large manufacturers will be present and interviewing applicants for multiple manufacturing related positions.
