News release from The Alliance for Women and Children:
American Wife, Taya Kyle, to speak at Alliance for Women and Children’s 15th Annual Fall Luncheon
Abilene, TX, August 6, 2018 – The Alliance for Women and Children is pleased to bring American Wife, Taya Kyle, to Abilene for the Annual Fall Luncheon fundraiser. The luncheon will take place on Thursday, September 13th at the Abilene Convention Center. This yearly fundraiser helps support the mission of the Alliance for Women and Children to provide quality programs to empower all women and children by educating and assisting women to be health conscious and self sufficient and providing a nurturing and safe environment for school aged children.
Taya Kyle is the widow of late U.S. Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle commonly known as the American Sniper after the title of his New York Times Best Selling memoir of the same title. After the book was made into Academy Award winning film directed by Clint Eastwood, starring Bradley Cooper, Taya published her New York Times bestselling memoir American Wife. With humor and vulnerability, Taya recounts the tremendous highs and lows in her unpredictable life as the wife and now widow of an American hero.
“Taya Kyle brings a message of love, war, faith and renewal and we are excited to bring her to our community who strongly supports our military,” says Charity Skelton, Fall Luncheon Co-Chair and member of the Alliance Board of Directors. “This is sure to be a sell-out event.”
The Alliance for Women and Children is accepting sponsorships for this event. For more information regarding sponsorship benefits, please contact Toni Brockway at email@example.com.
“Every dollar we raise from this event supports the children and families we serve in Alliance After School Care,” says, Shay Minor, Ms. Skelton’s co-chair for the event. “We want to ensure that no child goes home alone while providing a safe and nurturing environment until their parents and caregivers pick them up after work.”
Tables and individual tickets are available for the event. Tables can be reserved for $400 and individual tickets are $40 for open seating. Deadline to RSVP is September 5th. To purchase your table or tickets, call 325-677-5321 or register online at www.allianceforwomenandchildren.org.
