House of Horrors Abilene – Visitors can explore a Homecoming themed haunted house from 8:00 p.m. until midnight every Friday and Saturday beginning on September 30th. Also open 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. October 30th and 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Halloween. Saturday nights feature a Scaredy Cat hour from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with less monsters and less intense scares. Tickets are $10 for ages 5 and up. Fast passes are $20. 13 Vultures Haunted Estate – Visitors can explores a “Season of the Witches” themed haunted house featuring an old farmhouse, a laboratory, a cemetery, the woods, an old circus tent, and a roadside vegetable stand. 13 Vultures Haunted Estate will be open from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. every Friday and Saturday beginning on October 7th. Runway of Terror – Visitors can explore an Area 51 themed haunted house from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight every Friday and Saturday beginning on October 14th. Hours are 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Halloween. Runway of Terror is located at 4886 Newman Road. For more information, visit runwayofterror.com.
American Horror Story Haunted House – The Ranger High School band has created a haunted house based on popular FX series American Horror Story – it will feature haunts from Murder House, Aslyum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, and Roanoke. Tickets are $5 each – half price on October 26th with College ID. The haunted house will be open from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Oct. 20th-22nd and Oct. 26th-27th. It will be open from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Oct. 29th and Halloween. All proceeds raised benefit the band.
Haunted Hangar – The 9th Annual Haunted Hangar organized by the Tye Volunteer Fire Department will open to the public at dark on October 22nd. It will also open at dark on October 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st. The Hangar is located at 728 Air Base Road. Haunted Abilene – Attendees can enjoy a trolley ride through Abilene’s historic area, tour the haunted Haunted Mansion, or both. The event takes place from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tours start and end in front of the Swenson House at 1726 Swenson St. Tickets for both trolley ride and haunted mansion are $25. Anson Home for the Criminally Insane – Anson High School PALS are hosting The Anson Home for the Criminally Insane in the historic Big Blue House, located at 1231 S. 12th Street. The doors open the night of Saturday, October 29th from 7:45pm-11:45 p.m. and again on October 31st from 6:00pm-9:00 p.m. Admission is $8.
Labyrinth of Horror Haunted House – Play Faire Park at 2300 N. 2nd Street. Friday through Monday. Open until 8:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Open until 11:00 p.m. on Halloween.
