ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man accused of shooting his mother in the head during an altercation on Friday is the featured fugitive for this week’s Wanted Wednesday social media initiative.

The Abilene Police Department has been searching for Calvin Dunn, Jr., 21, since his mother, Rene Crosby, 42, was shot at the Abilene North Apartments on the 2400 block of N. Willis Street around 10:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Crosby sustained a gunshot wound to the head and remains hospitalized in critical condition as she continues to recover.

Friday afternoon, police received a tip that Dunn may have been spotted on the 2000 block of Park Street, but a SWAT team searched the area and was unable to locate the suspect.
