Campaign fundraising slows in Abilene Place 5 runoff

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Political fundraising has slowed considerably now that Place 5 is down to a runoff. 

The latest campaign finance reports show incumbent Kyle McAlister out-raised Cory Clements. McAlister reported $4,361 raised since April 25 while Clements reported $1,575 raised since April 25. 

Clements is still leading the way with total contributions at more than $21,000 while McAlister has raised just short of $17,000.

Both candidates showed to use most of their money on political signs and advertising.

Early voting continues through Tuesday and the election is this Saturday, June 15.
