ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A suspect accused of shooting a man during a fight outside an Abilene home has been indicted.

A Taylor County Grand Jury has indicted Zachary Richard Anadon, 25, on a Felony Aggravated Assault charge in connection to an incident that happened in October of 2016. He is being held behind bars on a $35,000 bond.

Court documents say the incident began at Anadon’s home after a man broke a bottle in the street, prompting Anadon to go outside.

The men then started fighting and the documents state at some point during the fight, Anadon pulled out a gun and shot the other man involved in the leg.

The man was rushed to the hospital where a doctor signed a “serious bodily injury” forum due to the severity of the gunshot wound.

Anadon did admit to shooting the victim and the weapon he used was recovered by police, according to the documents.
