KEY LARGO, Florida (WCMH) – It is not uncommon for Victor F. Perez to see wildlife in the canal behind his home in Key Largo, Florida.
But what he saw earlier this month was truly unusual.
“We see crocs from time to time in our canal but never one on a noodle,” Perez told FOX 13. “He would have been from up north on vacation just chilling.”
Perez posted a photo of the sighting on Instagram.
“I’m on my balcony,” Victor Perez explained to the Miami Herald, “and all of a sudden, I see this noodle and there’s a crocodile hanging off of it. I had to get my phone.”
“Crock on a float #keylargo#rockemnreelem #floating #keyslife,” the post reads.
“It was just cruising along, and I was like, ‘OK, where’s the swimmer?’” Perez said, laughing. “‘What happened to the guy with the noodle?’”
It’s not clear if the rightful owner of the pool noodle ever got it back.
