(COMANCHE COUNTY, TX) – A local man who was on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list for Crimes Against Children has pleaded guilty to Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child.
John Benjamin Napier was sentenced to serve 28 years behind bars for sexually abusing two Comanche County Children, one under the age of 14 and one under the age of 17, multiple times from October to December of 2008. He’s also facing six other charges related to child sex crimes in other locations around the country.
Napier was arrested in Comanche County in June of 2010 and posted bail soon after. He left town after he posted bail and fled to Montana where he lived from May of 2011 to August of 2013, according to the FBI.
The FBI says Napier allegedly molested a child in Montana while using the alias Sean Denning. Napier fled town and was finally captured at a mobile home park in Springfield, Missouri, in November of 2014.
Napier was extradited back to Texas and is currently being held in the Comanche County Jail on bonds totaling $62,500 for seven child sex crimes – one count of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, and three counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.
