$10.8 million of liquid meth seized by Sweetwater K9

SWEETWATER, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – 125 pounds of liquid meth has been seized by a Sweetwater police K9. 

A Facebook post from the Sweetwater Police Department says the drugs, worth an approximated $10.8 million on the street, were recovered by K9 Stalin after the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office asked the Sweetwater Police Department for assistance following a traffic stop along I-20 Monday afternoon. 

The Facebook post goes on to say, “great police work and great team work to get these dangerous drugs off our streets!”

David Fernandez Garcia, 26, of Andrews, Texas, was taken into custody following the traffic stop and charged with 1st Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.
