ACU campus store sees increased business after NCAA tourney berths

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Abilene Christian University (ACU) campus store has seen an influx of people from all over the country rushing to buy Wildcat gear.

It’s game day for the ACU men’s basketball team down in Jacksonville, Florida, and though it’s not quite sure which Wildcat will win, the ACU campus store, in a way, kind of already has.

The store’s already sold more than half of the shirts specially made to support the men and women’s basketball teams as they step into the big dance, and those shirts were just printed on Monday and hit the racks Sunday.

Although he says he’s hopeful for championship shirts to come through the store soon, manager Scott Harsh said he can neither confirm nor deny if they’ve already been drawn up.

“There’s probably a mock up where they can just drop in the names, but obviously we’re just focused on this first game first,” Harsh says. “I sound like a coach, don’t I?”

The signs are everywhere displaying hope and pride in their players.
