ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A grand jury indicted two men on Thursday who are believed to be involved in a string of convenience store robberies in October of 2018.

Joe David Rivera, Jr., 18, and 17-year-old Kariem Quickel were indicted on four counts each of Aggravated Robbery.

Court documents state the duo are accused of walking into several convenience stores throughout Abilene between Oct. 20-25 and robbing them at gunpoint.

Police arrested Quickel on an unrelated matter in October, while Rivera was taken into custody by a SWAT team at a residence in Abilene in early November.
