Homeless man struck by motorcycle, killed in Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A homeless person was killed after he was hit by a motorcycle in Abilene Saturday night.

Ronald Crane, 48, was pronounced dead at the hospital following the crash near the intersection of S. 1st Street and Portland Avenue around 11:15 p.m.

A press release states Crane was walking north across S. 1st Street when he was struck by a passing motorcyclist, who was injured as well.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to the hospital to receive treatment. His current condition is not known at this time.
