ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Thanks to a smoke alarm, three people were saved from a fire in northwest Abilene early Monday morning.
According to the Abilene Fire Department, the estimated loss from the fire was $15,000.
The fire happened around 4 a.m, at a home in the 4600 block of Coachlight Road.
Firefighters said when they got there a mobile home was involved with fire.
The fire was extinguished as the fire was venting out of the back door.
Officials said the occupants were alerted by a smoke alarm and exited without injury.
The cause of the fire was undetermined and remains under investigation.
This is the second mobile home fire in as many days.
