ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Police are searching for an Abilene man accused of tying up a child under the age of 5 and sexually assaulting her.
Editor’s note: Joshua Henderson was arrested by Taylor County Sheriffs at around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Joshua Henderson, 32, is wanted for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and is the Abilene Police Department’s ‘most wanted’ fugitive of the week.
Court documents state a child made an outcry to an adult at school in May, saying Henderson would “take her clothes off and then take nude pictures of her.”
The child also described multiple events of inappropriate touches and sexual assaults that took place in August of 2015, according to the documents, which state the child described a specific incident where Henderson “tied her up with a rope, put gray tape over her mouth, and continued to touch her [inappropriately]” because she said she didn’t like music he was playing.
Documents also detail another incident where the child says she was drawing a family picture when Henderson threw her into his bedroom, ripped the picture apart, then used the pieces to sexually assault her until she started bleeding.
Anyone who knows where Henderson could be located is asked to contact Abilene Crime Stoppers at (325)676-8477. A $500 cash reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest, and all tips are guaranteed anonymous.
Henderson previously made headlines in 2016 when he was arrested for tattooing a teen illegally, without parental consent.
