BEAUMONT, Texas (KXAN) – The internet is going crazy over an Aggie who took her graduation photos with a 13-foot-8-inch alligator just mere inches away. She even managed to place her class ring on the gator’s snout for the perfect ring picture.

Makenzie Alexis Noland, of Abilene, took the photos at Gator Country, which is near Beaumont. The NBC affiliate in Beaumont reports Noland spent the summer as an intern at the gator farm and apparently became friends with “Big Tex,” the gator she took the photos with.

Noland is currently studying wildlife ecology at Texas A&M and is expected to graduate in 2019. Noland posted the photos to her Instagram last week with the caption: “Not your typical graduation picture.”

Other photos from Noland show her feeding Big Tex on several occasions.

Not your typical graduation picture 🤷🏽‍♀️
