ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man accused of tearing holes in a child’s pants after she wore them to prevent getting sexually assaulted has been arrested.
Brooks Turnbow, 35, was arrested for Indecency with a Child Thursday then released from the Taylor County Jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
Court documents state a child under the age of 17 came forward to police, claiming Turnbow sexually assaulted her by inappropriately touching her multiple times in January of 2015.
She told detectives she even wore pants instead of shorts in an effort to stop the assaults, but he just ripped holes in them and continued, according to the documents.
Police were able to recover pants Turnbow admitted belonged to the victim, and they did have holes in the areas the victim described, but the documents state there was no way to tell how the holes occurred.
