ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man was arrested early Thursday morning on drug and gun charges.

According to an Abilene Police arrest report, 42-year-old Vincent Ramirez was arrested in the 5100 block of Questa around 5:30 Thursday morning.

Police say agents with the Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at the home and found Ramirez to be in possession of nearly 163 grams, or 6 ounces of methamphetamine, along with packaging materials and digital scales.

Ramirez, a convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and less than 2 ounces of marijuana, according to the report.

Police say the amount of methamphetamine they found was more than for personal use, and that Ramirez was arrested for the same charges in 2018.

Ramirez was taken to the Taylor County Jail and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana, according to the report.
