ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Abilene Police Department (APD) have arrested three people charged with the aggravated kidnapping of an Abilene man and woman, according to an APD press release.
Early Tuesday morning, a concerned Abilene resident called police after coming into contact with 20-year-old Antonio Perez, who was seen walking down South 11th Street with a chain tied around his waist. Perez told the citizen that he had been kidnapped earlier that morning.
Abilene police officers responded to the scene and received information that Perez was staying with a 28-year-old female at a hotel in the 800 block of East Highway 80 when they were contacted by three individuals, according to APD. The three subjects were disgruntled because they had been sold “bad” drugs by Perez and Wells, and therefore kidnapped them from the hotel.

Perez and the female were taken to a residence in the 800 block of Maple Street and tied up, according to APD. At some point, Perez was left alone in the house while the others went to another residence in the 800 block of Nelson Street. During that time, Perez was able to free himself seek help.
Perez told Abilene police that he believed the female he was with to be at the residence on Nelson. Officers then responded to the address and located Wells with the three kidnappers, according to APD.
The three subjects were arrested and identified as:
- Nathan Lowery, 24
- Joshua Davis, 29
- Janna Calloway, 32
All three were charged with felony aggravated kidnapping. Janna Calloway received an additional felony charge for possession of Methamphetamine.

Antonio Perez and the female were also arrested for possession of a dangerous drug and failure to identify, respectively.
