ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Abilene Police Department (APD) have arrested three people charged with the aggravated kidnapping of an Abilene man and woman, according to an APD press release.

Early Tuesday morning, a concerned Abilene resident called police after coming into contact with 20-year-old Antonio Perez, who was seen walking down South 11th Street with a chain tied around his waist. Perez told the citizen that he had been kidnapped earlier that morning.

Abilene police officers responded to the scene and received information that Perez was staying with a 28-year-old female at a hotel in the 800 block of East Highway 80 when they were contacted by three individuals, according to APD. The three subjects were disgruntled because they had been sold “bad” drugs by Perez and Wells, and therefore kidnapped them from the hotel.

Perez told Abilene police that he believed the female he was with to be at the residence on Nelson. Officers then responded to the address and located Wells with the three kidnappers, according to APD.
