Abilene police detectives work with U.S. Army to arrest soldier for distributing child pornography

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Detectives with the Abilene Police Department (APD) worked with the Taylor County District Attorney (TCDA) and investigators with the U.S. Army to arrest a man stationed in Colorado for distributing child porn, according to APD.

Andrew Couvion, 22, was arrested after a warrant was obtained by detectives assisted by the TCDA's office. 

Detectives from the APD Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant in the 100 block Divide Avenue in Tuscola as part of a child pornography investigation, according to APD. The investigation led to the identification of Couvion, who was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado. 

It was determined that Couvion was uploading child pornography through social media applications, according to APD. 

Detectives worked closely with investigators from the U.S. Army in making the arrest.
