Aggravated assault with beer bottle reported in Brown County

BROWN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information related to an aggravated assault case involving a beer bottle thrown from a moving truck, according to a press release from Brown County Sheriffs.

In the evening hours of Monday, August 20, the victim reported passing a late 1960s to early 1970s blue and white pickup truck heading southbound while traveling north along Highway 279 near the Cross Cut area, according to the release. 

As the victim passed the truck, the drive threw a beer bottle from the vehicle, which impacted the victim’s windshield. The bottle shattered the windshield, and penetrated into the interior of the vehicle, injuring the victim. 

Anyone with information that could identify the driver of the pickup is asked to call the Brown County Sheriff’s Office at 325-646-5510, ext. 4313
