Arrest made in Eastland armed robbery

EASTLAND, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Eastland woman was arrested Wednesday for the armed robbery of a drugstore, according to an Eastland Police Department press release. 

The robbery occurred at Doc’s Drugstore on East Main Street in Eastland on Saturday, February 24, 2018, according to the release.

Employees say the suspect wore an orange ski mask and brandished a handgun, demanding large amounts of Hydrocodone pain medication.

Surveillance footage obtained from the scene provided police with a description of the vehicle the suspect used in the robbery, according to the release. A routine patrol later spotted the vehicle and identified the owner.

Teresa Renee Aliba, 41, of Ranger was arrested for her connection in the robbery after Eastland police executed a search warrant of her home on Pershing Street, according to the release.

Abila is currently being held in the Eastland County Jail on $500,000 bond.
