ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Braum’s is one step closer to building in Abilene.

On Tuesday, the company asked the Abilene Board of Adjustment for permission to erect higher signs for their store as well as additional signs on their exterior walls than regulations mandate.

The Board of Adjustment granted the variance for the recognizable Braum’s ice cream cone sign, and the company reportedly said they will work with neighbors to control light and noise.

When complete, the new Bruam’s will be near the intersection of Buffalo Gap and 707, with the dining portion on the north and the grocery store on the south side.

There is currently no word on when it will be done.
