BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Brownwood Independent School District (BISD) announced Monday their plans to implement the Raptor Visitor Management System in all district campuses, according to a BISD press release.

The new system will allow BISD to track all visitors, contractors and volunteers that enter a campus, according to the release.

“Upon entering a district campus, visitors will be asked to present a valid state-issued ID, which will be scanned into the system. The Raptor System checks to ensure that registered sex offenders are not entering our buildings.” BISD said in the release.

After passing the system check, Raptor will issue a badge that identifies the visitor, date, and purpose of the visit, according to the release.

“The safety of our students is our highest priority, and the Raptor System provides a consistent way to aid in keeping away people who may present a danger to our students. All visitors to the school must be scanned into the system and obtain a visitor badge.” BISD said in the release.
