CISCO, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – One C-130 flight crew of the U.S. Air Force conducted a night training exercise Monday night on the airfield of Gregory Simmons Memorial Airport.

The exercise served as training for upcoming deployment in Afghanistan, and began around 9:00 p.m. Monday night.

Night vision goggles were used by the crew both in air and on the ground, as the airport provided the darkest conditions possible for the exercise.

The Cisco Fire Department was also present at the airfield to provide assistance in the case of an emergency.
