Cisco College students helping out for National Nurses Week

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Some students from Cisco College are helping nurses at Hendrick celebrate National Nurses Week.

At Hendrick Medical Center, students from Cisco College set up a booth for free hand massages for the 1,300 nurses who work there.

“Without our nurses, our patients would not recieve the quality of care they deserve,” says Missy Lewis, Nurse Recruitment and Retention Officer at Hendrick Medical Center.

Hospitals across Texas and the nation are recognizing National Nurses Week through May 12, which is the birthday of Florence Nightengale, who is considered responsbile for founding modern nursing.
