City of Brownwood announces registration for Learn To Swim Program

BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The City of Brownwood announced Tuesday that registration will open for the city’s Learn To Swim Program on June 5 and 6, according to a City of Brownwood press release. 

Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis due to a limited amount of instructors, according to the release. Instructors will be able to test the swim level each child in needing to learn. 

The program will have three sessions that consist of 45 minute classes, according to the release. The sessions are as follows:

  • June 19 – June 29 – 8 or 9 a.m.
  • July 10 – July 20 – 8 or 9 a.m.
  • July 24 – August 3 – 8 or 9 a.m.

Entry fees are $50 per session per student, according to the release. Scholarships are available. 

Minimum age for registration is four years old. Parents wishing to sign up their children for the program may do so on June 5 and 6 at the Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center.
