COLEMAN, Texas (KRBC) - A Coleman County project that has taken a little more than a year to complete has reached completion.
The new Coleman County Law Enforcement Center is up and running and will have a public open house this Friday, February 8 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The co-ed facility holds the jail, the Law Enforcement Center, the State Police, the Game Warden, the Department of Public Safety and will be more secure both inside and outside.
It will be able to house 48 inmates.
The old Coleman County Jail was in desperate need of repair and a new location. It was also more than 100 years old and was only able to house nine inmates.
