EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Crimes Against Persons detectives have arrested and charged an off-duty police officer following the drowning death of his infant son on June 20.
Raymond Licon Jr., 27, now faces Criminal Negligent Homicide charges after investigators say he left his 11-month-old alone in a bathtub inside a home located at 3334 Zion.
According to police, Licon Jr. returned to find the baby “without signs of life” and immediately performed CPR and called 911. The baby was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
