Fatal rollover wreck reported in Haskell County

HASKELL COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – One man has been reported dead in a single-vehicle accident Southeast of Haskell early Monday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Stetson James Cantrell, 19, of Haskell was reported dead after being transported from the scene along Farm to Market Road 600 just after midnight, according to DPS. 

Cantrell’s vehicle was traveling south when it struck multiple wild hogs that were obstructing the roadway, according to DPS. Cantrell then lost control of the vehicle, and went west off of the road, rolling over and striking a Highline pole. 

Cantrell was transported to Haskell Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to DPS. 

This incident is under investigation
