ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An event will be coming to Abilene at the end of September with the goal of supporting local mothers who are in hardship, according to a press release.
World’s Okayest Mom, a non-profit group that helps mothers in need, will be hosting the first ever “Okayest Night Out” in the Key City on the evening of Saturday, September 29.
The goal for the event is to increase financial support, build deeper relationships within the community and to raise awareness for the group’s mission to mobilize resources to support mothers in need. Monthly care packages are sent to mothers who are ill, have lost a spouse or child or find themselves in other types of hardship, according to the release.
Sabrina Cedars will host the event, located at 325 County Road 321 Abilene, TX 79607. Live music will be played while guests share dinner and stories.
The event will take place from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., according to the release. Standard tickets will cost $40, with VIP tickets priced at $70. Tickets can be purchased online here.
