Free holiday meals and restaurants open for Thanksgiving 2017

Free meals for the 2017 holiday season:

Thursday, November 23rd

  • Veterans Service Office Thanksgiving Dinner at the Abilene Convention Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
  • Lucy’s Big Burgers will feed anyone their Thanksgiving feast for FREE from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Tuesday, December 5th

  • HEB Feast of Sharing at the Abilene Convention Center on the 1100 block of N. 6th Street from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Event will feature a holiday meal, music, arts and crafts, a kids act and an appearance from Santa

Restaurants open on Thanksgiving

Buffalo Wild Wings will be serving their typical menu from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Cracker Barrel will be serving a traditional southern Thanksgiving spread including dessert from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The restaurant will serve other items beginning at 6:00 a.m.

Golden Corral will have Thanksgiving food on the buffet including turkey, ham, and all the fixings from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Denny’s will be serving Thanksgiving classics alongside their regular menu items all day. They’re open 24/7.

Cross Roads Market & Bistro located at 615 Oak Street in Clyde. They will be serving a traditional Turkey dinner or a Brisket plate from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Reservations accepted, walk in’s are welcome.
